Sungshin Women's University
Donam-dong and Dongseon-dong, near Sungshin Women's University, are full of restaurants and bistros selling delicious food with good prices that captivates the taste of female college students and nearby residents.
Today we will take a tour at some of these restaurants and interesting places to visit.
Munhwa Bistro
In a secluded alley in Dongseon-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. Down the stairs there is a small and cozy bistro. In ‘Munhwa Bistro’, Munhwa, which means Culture, Asian-Western fusion style dishes are served.
It is a small bistro where you can find Omurice, Arrabiata spaghetti, and even Tteokbokki at one table.
It is located in the basement of the building, but when it is dinner time, friends and couples are lining up to the first floor. It is a well-known place for a date near Sungshin Women's University because of its cozy atmosphere and reasonable price.
Arrabiata Spaghetti is one of the most popular dishes at Munhwa bistro. For those of people who are not really a fan of spicy food, they can adjust the spice level to make it more sweet.
After meal, a snowman made of cheese is served as dessert per person, and candies are placed next to the cash register to grab some when customers leave.
Palbaek-Jib
Palbaek-Jib is also one of the famous and popular places among the tourists. A lot of people outside Seongbuk-gu pay a visit to try Pork Ribs with broth at this restaurant. Palbaek means 800, Jib means House in Korean.
Pork ribs at this restaurant are made of domestic pork that has never been frozen. Unlike regular pork rib dishes, there is a broth, so the meat is cooked and then vegetables are added, boiled together. Due to its fame, it is also released as meal-kit available online. After meal, customers are given Little Haribo jelly pack and a toothpick.
